Design for All on the Internet (Web Accessibility)

In order that every person can benefit from the Internet, a set of guidelines, known as WAI, are available. These guidelines allow the achievement of various degrees of web accessibility. In our proposal to the solution in this field, we not only adhere to these guidelines but we also propose the improvement of the consistory corporative image and the increase the benefits of the visits to the web applying a design paradigm for everyone.

The web accessibility adaptation to Design for All consists of two parts that are integrated into only one study: on the one hand, carrying out an audit of the existing website or supervising a process to apply the guidelines of usability established by Jaokob Nielson and other internationally recognised experts. On the other hand, carrying out an audit of the existing website or supervising a process in which the WAI guidelines are followed.

SERADAP: This project consists in the development of a management program of specially adapted minibus service for people with reduced mobility in Barcelona city.
TEH Santa Eulàlica de Ronçcana Council: it has developed municipal management tools based on new technologies specially aimed at small municipal councils. The tools use the necessary technology in every stage – from text processors, geographic information systems, internal and external communication tools, tabulated databases, to administrative management processes.

ETSI STF 183: Icons, symbols and pictograms are actually the most used for navigation in telecommunication services. The objective of the working group was to elaborate symbols and pictograms that are presently the most commonly used help navigation tools in the majority of telecommunication services. The aim of the working group was to elaborate a study of the needs and requirements for the use of these icons, symbols and pictograms in multiform interfaces, putting a special emphasis on the needs of the people with disabilities and older people.
